Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time should we arrive?
    Please plan to arrive at Newport Harbor Island Resort 5-10 minutes before your departure to allow for proper boarding.
  • What is provided on board?
    Each cruise comes with an exceptionally handsome and knowledgeable captain, a Bluetooth speaker, a cooler with ice and bottled water, sunscreen, and blankets.
  • Can we bring alcohol and food?
    Yes! We are BYOB so please bring whatever food or beverages you'd like!
  • What do we need to bring?
    We provide all that we can to make your trip as smooth, enjoyable, and memorable as possible. However, we recommend packing few things to make your experience even better: Warm clothes such as a sweater or jacket in case it gets a bit chilly Snacks and beverages if you are not purchasing them on board
  • How many people can we bring?
    The US Coast Guard sets the boat capacity; therefore, we will not be able to depart with more than 6 passengers. We also provide a captain and a first mate that do not count towards the total of 6.
  • Where do cruises depart from?
    We are docked at 1 Goat Island, Newport, RI, at Newport Harbor Island Resort, and all cruises will depart from there. There is a free parking lot a short walk from the boat, and cars can also be valeted at the resort's entrance.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    You can cancel your booking, for a full refund up to 7 days before your scheduled departure time. If cancellation occurs between 7 days and 3 days before your scheduled departure time, you are responsible for 50% of the booking cost. The full price of the charter will be charged if a cancellation occurs within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time. All sales booked within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time are non-transferable and non-refundable. Customers receive a full refund if a cancellation occurs due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • What happens if there is bad weather on the day of our charter?
    Weather needs to be safe for all cruises, and we also want you to have the best experience with us. New England weather can be tricky at times, so you will receive a full refund if there is a weather-related cancelation. It is the Captain's call on the day of the charter.
  • How long is the trip?
    Each cruise varies in time! Our most popular cruise is 1 hour and 45 minutes long, but we also offer half-day and full-day cruises. Our half-day cruise is 4 hours long, and the full-day cruise is 8 hours. We also charter special events that you can customize to your liking.
  • Do you have a bathroom?
    We have a small head (or toilet) on board, but we recommend using the restroom before your cruise. There is a restroom conveniently located in Newport Harbor Island Resort at the base of the dock. A member of the crew team will meet you at the dock upon your arrival to show you around.
  • Are life preservers provided?
    We have one life preserver per guest, including preservers for children of all ages - even infants!
